Sri Padmavathi Temple, Tirupathi , Andhra Pradesh
Padmavathi Temple is dedicated to Goddess Padmavathi or Alamelumanga, the consort of Lord Venkateswara. The temple is situated in Tiruchanur, Tirupati, and is under the administration of Tirumala Tirupati Devasthanams. Sub-temples within the Padmavathi Temple include Sri Krishna Swamy Temple and Sri Sundararaja Swamy Temple. Thondaiman Chakrvarthy, a brother of Padmavathy Devi, built this temple. There is a temple tank situated at the back of the temple, and it is believed that Goddess Padmavathi manifested in this tank in a golden lotus flower.
The temple is located 5 km from the Tirupati bus stand and 4 km from the railway station. Unjal Seva takes place in the evening, during which visitors can see the temple elephant.
