Ettukai Amman Temple , Namakkal
Ettukai Amman Temple is situated in Keerambur, Namakkal district. The presiding deity in this temple is Goddess Ettukkai Amman. The temple has big 2 entrance arch and has wide parking space.
Dwara Ganapathi sanctum is situated outside of the main sanctum. Ettukai Amman carries sulam, vel, a small knife, tamarukam, agni, bow and bell in her eight hands. This ancient and powerful deity is known as Kolli Paavai of Ettukkai Amman. Dwara Balagar, Dwara Sakthi staues are there in outside of main sanctum entrance.
According to the legend, the sages choose this peaceful place for their meditation and penance. However they were disturbed and disrupted by the demons. So they prayed to Kolli Paavai who chased the demons with her enchanting smile and killed them.
