Virupaksha Temple is located on the banks of Tungabhadra River in Tungabhadra river. This temple which is dedicated to Lord Shiva in his avatar has beautiful pillars and towered gateways which could make your day. Walls and other architectures in the temple vicinity with depicts a nude woman being ‘admired’ by men and women around her some of the worthy sculptures to be watched. Best time to visit the temple is during the Hampi festival in November.
