Someshwara temple is situated in Kurudumale, Mulbagal, Kolar, Karnataka. This temple is near to Kurudumale Ganesha temple. Someshwara Temple, dedicated to the Hindu god Shiva. The temple, according to records, was built during the rule of the Chola Kings. Carvings on the walls display a variety of styles. It is believed that half of the temple carvings were carried out by the legendary artist Jakanachari, while the other half by his son Dankanachari. What is most interesting about the construction of the temple is that it has been entirely carved out of rocks and does not have a foundation.
