Veerapandiya Kattabomman Manimandapam is located in Kayatar near to kovilpatti. Veerapandiya Kattabomman was a freedom fighter who opposed to pay tax to British govt is hanged in this place. Earlier this area had a tamarind tree where actually he was hanged. Actor Chevalier Shivaji Ganesan was bought this place and constructed a pillar type memorial.
Govt took this place from Shivaji Ganesan build a two floor fort type memorial. There are a couple of wall sculpted panitings. There is a beautiful garden outside the fort memorial.
