Mukkadal dam Tour, Kanyakumari
Mukkadal dam is situated in Thuvarankadu, Kanyakumri. This dam built across the Vambaru River. This dam is located 10 km (6.2 mi) from town of Nagercoil. This reservoir supplies water for the town of Nagercoil.
Mukkadal Dam is crowned as the “natural earthen dam” due to its construction using clay and granite. The dam was built in 1945 by Sree Chithira Thirunal Balarama Varma, the King of Travancore.
Here, we can visit childrens park, Science park, Auditorium. Entry Fee: Adult :Rs.10 Kids 5 and Above:Rs.5
Bathroom facility, Parking facility is available. No crowded. Better to carry water and snacks. There is no shops near to buy anything. Don't go alone for safe because surroundings of this place is full of forest may be wild animals can come.
