Sri Gokarnanatha Kshetra is situated in the Kudroli area of Mangalore. The temple is 2 km from the centre of Mangalore city. The two lakh square feet temple is built with marbles. The temple is looking like golden temple. This temple is dedicated to Gokarnanatheshwarar, a form of Lord Shiva and Devi Annapporani.
Idol of Annapporani is made of gold. There are more separate sanctum is there inside of temple complex such as Lord Hanuman, Lord Krishna and More. Other deities are Maha ganapathi, Lord subramania, Lord kala bairava, Navagrahas, Sanibhavan and narayana guru. Temple has kalyani theertham.
This temple was built in 1912 by Adhyaksha HoigeBazar Koragappa. It was consecrated by Narayana Guru. The temple is newly renovated with golden paintings. Today HS Sairam, Adhyaksha Koragappa's grandson is the president of this temple.
The special festivals are Maha Shivaratri, Krishnashtami, Ganesh Chaturthi, Nagara Panchami, Deepavali, Navaratri, Sri Narayana Jayanthi. The dasara celebrations of this temple is popularly called Mangalore Dasara.
